Frequently Asked Questions
We treat a wide range of everyday medical needs — from fevers in children and ear infections to rashes, food poisoning, blood pressure monitoring, cuts, and more. We also offer support for ongoing health management like weight loss or chronic conditions. Please see What We Treat.
No. We do not prescribe controlled substances (like opioids, ADHD medication, or anxiety medications) due to strict regulations. We can prescribe most other medications and, if needed, help coordinate care with specialists who manage controlled prescriptions.
Yes. ASL fluency is a prerequisite for every physician and provider at ASL TeleMed. It is the bedrock of our model. We do offer some English-based care if needed, but please notify us in advance if you require ASL assistance.
Asynchronous communication means you can send us a message, photo, or video describing your health concern without a live appointment. The provider reviews it and responds with medical advice, a care plan, or next steps — often the same day. It’s basically no different than having your doctor’s number!
Asynchronous (text/video message): Great for simple issues like rashes, medication questions, motion sickness, refills, or follow-up checks.
Synchronous (live video): Best for new health concerns, more urgent problems, or when a live conversation is needed — for example, a new illness, worsening symptoms, or more in-depth explanation and follow-up is required.
Unsure of which is best? Just send a message to Navigator+ and we will direct you.
